I was hesitant to go because of the bad reviews of service. We had a nice, lovely time. We sat outside on the patio. Our server, Stefan (sp?), was grand. We could tell he was busy because we noticed him behind the bar a few times. I've been bartender and server at the same time. Ot easy! He did good to give us the time we needed without making us wait or holding us hostage when we were ready to pay. The food was good and fast, especially for it being a Saturday night. We will go back. It isn't our favorite Mexican food restaurant in town, but because the close location to our home, we are pleased to return.

I went to this location quite a bit when it first opened and this evening was my first time back in a while. Hostesses were friendly and sat us quickly. However when we arrived at our booth we were sad to see that the floor looked as if it took a beating the night before and still hadn't been tended to. Broken tortilla chips and various food crumbs everywhere. The server was friendly but wasn't around much. Unfortunately the quality of the food has gone down significantly since my last visit. My party had ordered fajitas, a burrito, chimichanga, torito, queso, guac and margaritas. The rice looked like it had been served sparingly among the plates and tasted like it had been prepared earlier in the day. The guacamole was clearly brown as if someone tried to stir it up to hide the color and was sour (not in a lemon/lime way). Now for the margaritas. Lets be honest, they tasted like watered down lemonade and were OVERFLOWING with ice. I really wish I was exaggerating, but I cant make this stuff up. Sad to say after many years of frequenting the downtown location and then the powers location when it first opened, we will not be returning.

My husband & I have been coming here for great Mexican food for over 2 years. This place is great - the food is really good, but honestly, we keep coming back because of the outstanding service. One person in particular is Brandon Hickman - Every time we walk in, he greets us with such a warm welcome & always makes our dining experience so nice. My husband always orders his favorite item (that is not on the menu) and it is always done perfectly! We always look forward to our next visit & coming in to see such friendly faces. Thanks, Brandon for always making our dinners a pleasure - we will certainly see you soon!

Been a regular for years but have noticed a significant decline. They changed the menu and stopped serving our favorite wings. They damn near give them away on football nights all they had to do was charge normal price. Not a fan of what we ate off of the new menu but the Dos Equis on tap is great and cold. I'll come to drink here but not to eat. Bartenders not so chatty but OK, it is one of the more difficult places to bartend with around 20 seats at the bar.

One word...terrible. Despite some of the negative reviews we read, we decided to at least give it a chance and are regretful we did.

The food was average to poor. I ate Santa Fe enchiladas and the tortilla's were so stale I had to use a sharp knife to cut through them. I have never had chicken enchiladas I couldn't cut with a fork. The menu said the enchiladas were topped with sour cream. When they came, the size of the sour cream was barely enough for one bite. I asked for a little more sour cream, never expecting they would charge me for it, and the waiter never told me I would be charged. When I got my check, they had charged me for the sour cream, and I could have gone out and bought a half pint for the amount they charged. The chips were average, but the salsa was pretty good. Save your money, there are much better Mexican Restaurants in the area with much better food available. The food was way over priced for Mexican food.

Wow!! If you want fast service DONT come here!! Go to the one downtown way way way better. The wait staff is nicer and you don't wait for 20 minutes for 3 Tacos. Yea this is such a waste of time.

Don't go here. The decorative water fountain in the lobby would be nice if the water wasn't disgusting. It was foamy and murky. My family of three waited 25 minutes on Sunday afternoon for a table and when we looked around the restaurant, we counted 7 empty tables for that duration. So it looks like either the hostess is incompetent or they are having staffing issues with having enough servers. My wife and I ordered shredded beef burritos. The only thing that had flavor was the red sauce. The meat wasn't seasoned at all and was very dry. The burrito was very bland. I could have cooked something fresher and more flavorful at home.

I was here and left because of the slow service. I sat at the bar for 10 minutes waiting to get a drink. I figured if it would take that long for a drink then it would be extremely long for food.

This location seems to have flaky servers. We had to ask for silver ware after they brought our food. We have tried the taco Tuesday deal and they are pretty thin tacos but seemed fresh. I really love the chips and salsa and the margarita I tried was good.

I know it's not supposed to be authentic Mexican food, but I expect better quality food from a restaurant. I ordered the enchiladas and they were just okay. It was just bland and didn't taste very fresh. I will say that the fried ice cream is quite delicious, but I don't usually go to a Mexican restaurant for the dessert....

Updating my opinion based on the quickly declining quality of food at this location. The last experience I had may be my last. The service was terrible, the food tasted nothing like it did when we've dined here in the past - the portions were small, the tortillas in the enchiladas were total mush - tasted like it had been microwaved - and even the strawberry margarita cheesecake we always order was sub-par - and different. It's like they teamed up with del-taco and 3 margaritas to bring the quality they once had down to the level of a quick-serve food truck. Likely won't be returning.

Jose Muldoon's is another one of those long time Colorado Springs local favorites. I admit I was skeptical when this second location opened as often in such cases they're not as good as the original ... not the case here - every bit as good as the downtown location - good food and friendly service.

I lived on the West Side of town and now I'm living in NYC so I never really made it over to this location but some friends invited me to join them for drinks last Thursday while I was visiting the Springs so I finally gave it a shot. Two. Dollar. Margaritas. I actually did not believe that sort of special existed. I immediately took photos of my drink and the menu and sent them off to my friends in New York City, mouth agape, asking if they'd ever heard of such a thing. Everyone back east in the Land of the Twelve Dollar Margarita agreed-- this was magical. Anyway, the margaritas were great! Not super strong but definitely delicious. My table split a HUGE plate of nachos which were fantastic and an order of the chocolate cake. All in all I'd say this location lives up to the reputation of the downtown Jose Muldoons-- affordable, delicious, fun!

Wait staff was very prompt and made sure we were getting our orders right the first time. Even the hostess came back to check on us. Food was really good, Nachos, Quesadillas and some other item, can't remember in my Margarita induced haze. But I do remember the Nachos were fantastic. The Margaritas were really good. I am saying this because it is hard to find a good frozen Margarita, but there were all spot on here. The prices were reasonable and did not make you regret all of the fun you had. I will definitely be back

I can't believe I tried Jose's again. It had been a while since I visited, so I thought maybe their food had improved. I have no idea how this restaurant stays in business. The chips are good, the salsa is ok. The margaritas are drinkable. The main entrees? Horrible. I ordered the chicken enchiladas and it was dry and the queso tasted like Kraft singles. The beans tasted like they had been refrying for about 14 years and the rice was completely flavorless. I will NEVER try Jose Muldoons again. I will say, though, our waitress was friendly and the atmosphere was nice.

Havent been there in a while. Now I know why.... Asked for lemon for iced tea three times and didnt get any. Order came to table and the smell looks and taste were less than desirable. The tortillas were so stale they fell apart when I initially picked up the tacos. The fish smelled rancid. I didnt want the chipotle honey mustard and asked to substitue sour cream... wanted to charge $1.49. Really? The so called restaurant charges for every little item. I spent thirty one dollars on food that would have been better spent at taco bell. dont go to this dump!!!

Apparently this place is understaffed. The place was pretty quiet and we still had to wait 25 minutes. Food was good, and they were very aware of food allergies and accommodated. Decor is fun, and the staff is very nice.

Muldoon's is ok...nothing special. We waited for 15-20 minutes to be seated even though there were several empty tables. They have a nice happy hour. The food was just ok.

I absolutely love this place. The food is great, the service is always great, and they have the best fried ice cream of any Mexican restaurant in Colorado. I wish they had one up here in Denver, because I would be there quite often! Keep up the good work guys!

Pretty standard to below average Mexican food. The after church crowd on Sunday was extremely busy and rude. Food came quick enough for the big crowds but was mediocre. I really don't have a reason to go back.

I often go to Jose's for a decent lunch. The one time I tried the dinner menu - not so good. Anyway, on the lunch menu I enjoy the pollo topolobampo (With pork? Really? Why not call it cerdo?) and the torito. The entrees are good and always cleverly presented. Nobody will confuse it for Santa Fe, but it's tasty and priced fairly. I've always enjoyed good service, perhaps because I'm there often enough the staff is beginning to recognize a regular customer.

My husband and I had dinner there the other night and the Bartender Branden gave us exceptional service. We never had to ask for a refill of our drinks and Branden made sure our food was served in a timely manner. I highly recommend Jose's off powers based on the service we received from the Bartender.

I've eaten at this location twice (but have been to the downtown location about once a year since living in the Springs). We were in the mood for some southwestern flavors and a "hang-out" kind of vibe, so Jose Muldoon's seemed like a logical answer. (I don't think I would call the food here "Mexican") My past visits I would've said my experiences were 3 stars for the decent but very average food, but this review is solely for last night. We shared a fajita platter with large portions of grilled chicken and buffalo sliced up and laying on a generous bed of caramelized onions and red bell pepper. It came out sizzling and smelling great... and of course the smell seeped into my hair and clothes for the rest of the night. Overall, this dish was better than I expected. The chicken was juicy, and the buffalo, though chewy, was medium rare the way we like it. We both had to cut the meat further into smaller pieces as the chunks were much larger than bite-sized. Onions were caramelized perfectly, and although greasy, I liked it that way, but they could've definitely used more bell pepper. The sides were ok; we asked to switch out the refried beans with black beans, and they had no problems doing that for us. But the beans were dry and topped with cheese (does EVERYTHING have to drown in cheese?). Rice was better than others I've had; MY guacamole is better than theirs, the tomatoes had no flavor, and the shredded yellow/white cheese is standard but at least it appeared to be freshly shaved and didn't come out of a bag. Everything was presented neatly. Each of us were given 3 small flour tortillas, warm and rolled in a piece of foil. Complimentary chips were warm, but they're very thin and not as pleasing to the palate as at other TexMex/Soutwestern joints. But we did eat down one basket. I really liked that they gave each person our own little bowl of salsa instead of one to share so we didn't have to reach across and make a mess on the table. The salsa itself was just "meh." Needed more spicy heat, and perhaps lime! Service was terrific. Probably the best out of all my other visits at the two Jose's. We were promptly greeted by a smiling hostess, who knew how to process our OpenTable reservation, and we were seated immediately. Harmony was very friendly as our server. But what struck me most was that she was also very good. Either she's worked at other restaurants, or Jose's did a recent training overhaul for their staff. Her attitude and the way she coordinated the bussers and other servers reminded me of employees at higher-end establishments. Just really efficient, attentive when she needed to be, and subtle at other times. But always upbeat and with great timing. This location, tucked behind Village Inn, has seen at last two restaurant failures. However, Jose's is always really busy, especially on Thursdays for the $2 'Rita. Atmosphere is lively and energetic (not at all quiet), and I saw lots of kids, tweens, adults out with their parents, couples, etc. Just a real mixed crowd out having a good time. The layout is conducive and attractive, includes an outdoor area, and there is a nice waiting section up front. Parking is tight; it's not the right size for a restaurant that large. If you just want basic southwest flavors, some people-watching, support a Colorado local restaurant, and are on the east side of town, I do recommend you check out Jose Muldoon's!

It's truly a shame to be giving this place 1 star and I may change it before I finish writing just due to good history here. This place has gotten out of control during the late nights specifically Thursday. Don't get me wrong I love the anti-corporate laid backness of this place but it's too much now. First off our bartender was wasted, and not the fun social wasted, he was being rude, obnoxious, and leaving frequently. He was taking shots like they were water and then was outside in plain view smoking more than working. He would then just walk in and continue pouring drinks. That aside he was yelling and just plain rude. We felt so uncomfortable there that we just finished our 1 drink each while looking at each other dumbfounded and left. First words out of our mouths was "never again". The food here had never been good either but it just took time for the service/ atmosphere to catch up.

I hadn't been to the newer location so we gave it a try last night. Really a disappointment. The chips and salsa were low quality. The green chile didn't come out early as ordered. We had no napkins until requested. The entrees were either missing items like guacamole or were just sorta warm at best. The bar drinks were not well done either. I hate being so critical but it felt like low quality was the overall pattern. We won't be back.

Food is typical tex-mex fare, but the real reason to go is for Taco Tuesday. $1 tacos with purchase, and happy hour beers fulfill the purchase requirement. Chips and salsa are the best in town and you can get them to go for roughly the price of a bag of chips and jar of good salsa at the store. Keep this in mind for your events in the future, like that big football game everyone's talking about.

We decided to try this place as we live in the are and wanted to try new restaurants. Service was the best thing this place had going for this place. But I don't go somewhere for great service. Muldoons was clean and inviting. Upon being seated we were greeted immediately and had our drinks delivered quickly. The prices on the menu were more expensive then our normal Mexican food restaurants in Colorado Springs. Two of us ordered the enchiladas and another ordered the steak fajitas. The server refilled our chips and salsa and drinks. The enchiladas came out with the sauce having a film over it like it had been sitting there for awhile. Also the tortillas were crunchy and seemed over cooked. The fajitas tortillas were not good quality and kept ripping. Won't be going to this restaurant anymore and will give my business to the better Mexican restraints in town.

Went here with some friends we had Margs and they were so weak we thought they forgot the tequila. No joke they tasted like sweet limeade. Also they were premium orders and 8 bucks a pop. Salsa is extremely boring so I ordered the rojo salsa which was a lot better. Food was ok but left in the broiler too long and green chili was all dried up and burrito was stuck to the plate. Had to ask for more sauces which was a big improvement. Just average at best. The location downtown used to be one of my favs but they have let it go. They need a chef overseeing and improving recipes.

This is my favorite patio on the east side of town. It faces east, so the sun doesn't bear down on diners in the late afternoon and evening. If you can get over the fact that it overlooks Powers, it's actually quite nice. The staff is very attentive, but they don't get annoyed with people who just show up to sit on the patio and drink margaritas. The food is fine, very similar to the Jose's downtown. A full order of nachos is still extremely ambitious. It's not the best Mexican food around, but it's some of the only Santa Fe-style, and a good place to load up on blue corn enchiladas. The main difference between Jose's east and the one downtown, I think, is that the margaritas at the east side restaurant actually have some alcohol in them. I also prefer the waitstaff here; they seem a lot more enthusiastic about life in general.

I love Mexican cuisine but I was very disappointed when I came in for lunch this week. We sat at the bar and the bartender was busy serving two other tables. It took us around 10 minutes to get our beverages which is very sad considering a bartender should be able to multitask much better. She said she was new which I'm pretty forgiving about. The managers should've been much more observant about what was going on. She was clearly struggling!!! Managers need to make sure the staff is trained and prepared before putting them on the floor. The food was good as usual but service needs a lot more attention.

Frozen mexican entree from local grocery store puts this place to shame. Enchiladas were undersauced and bland. Nothing positive here.

Five stars for Britneys service. What a sweetheart! Three to 3.5 stars for food and everything else. Typical corporate place. Clean neat appearance of restaurant. Ask for Britney to wait on you! You won't regret it! :)

Gets two stars because the serves was good, but oh my, the food was not. I had the tacos, the shells seemed store bought, the rice seemed to come out of a box. Reminds me of a white version of mexican food. I don't think I am being dramatic at all, my daughter felt the same way, and my husband only finished his food because he was hungry. I was bummed because I was hungry, seriously I wanted to leave and go to Del Taco, next time I will.

Jose's has a really good happy hour on Thursdays... $2 house margaritas, on the rocks or frozen, all day and night. They also have $1 mini coronas. The staff is always prompt, and the food comes out very quickly, even on busy nights. The bartender, Josh, always provides my friends and me with great service. I definitely recommend this place, especially if you sit at the bar and order some amazing nachos!

I like it. But then I'm no Mexican food expert. Sometimes I just crave those Americanized versions of ethnic food, you know? I want a plate with some beans, seasoned rice, some soft enchiladas, and a nice magarita. Good seasoning, no fuss. This place does the trick. Plus it looks kinda like a clean Casa Bonita inside and that's kinda funny.

  • David L.

Very good Mexican food, considering it's a rarity in this city. I think it's a notch above Amanda's Fonda and far, far better than 3 Margaritas, On The Border and the dismal Pueblo Viejo. The rice is tasty/spicy and beans are not in a puddle unlike most places. The sauce over my enchiladas was dark red and delicious. Green chili sauce great. Servers are good. Great beer choices, but could carry more local microbrews.

We have now been to this location twice and both times we've had a poor dining experience. The service is awful. Looking around, I saw that many other tables were also annoyed and looking around for their server. Super slow. The food isn't great either. We have been on Sunday for their brunch, and my mom had her meal comped because they messed the toast up. Yes, apparently, it is possible to royally screw toast up. I didn't know that was possible. The potatoes were bland and my omelet was 1lb of cheese with half an egg. Gross. Frankly, skip it.

OK PLACE but better places for Mexican in this town. Thin COLD chips and runny salsa, but extras brought willingly. We shared chicken Fajitas which were ok but week on sides with dish. Pepsi products extra dollar for three more! It was a nice place to visit with friends.

More texas than mex. The red sauce for enchiladas was in between normal and spaghetti sauce. I had the combination enchilada platter which is what I've been comparing all my mexican restaurants on esp in Co spgs where there are a lot (of bad restaurants) to choose from. It just..... wasn't really mexican. It was lacking flavor. All the familiar ingredients came together..... and just .... weren't. They weren't inedible... I just wasn't excited like I normally am with mexican food. even the "best mexican restaurant in colorado springs" according to most of the articles on the subject wasn't much better than this though...... so clearly it's just this place. this town sucks the flavor out of food and life apparently. their salsa was decent. The servers seem to magically disappear for long periods of time, or.... just walk by your table but not ask if you need anything but walking by too fast for you to grab them real quick....... seeing your food is basically gone and you're just sitting there playing with your phone is usually a que.... i'm not eating anymore. Yeah, i'm super picky.... but if I'm going out I want it to be worth the money when ever since I moved away from the deep south restaurants have just been lacking...... I can usually make whatever i'm trying to pay for and make it much tastier at home.... and my momma was a terrible cook so I just make it up as i go and didn't have anyone to learn from... these people have set recipes and can't even make it work.

It's more like 2.5/2.75, but I'm rounding up because the service today was good. This is my third time here and I can't say that I would go back unless someone else was paying. The first time I had nachos of some sort and they were ok, except when I got to the bottom there was all this...grease, I want to say? Ick. Second time I had the churros and they were only ok. Today I had sopapillas and they were fine. I can't pinpoint exactly what it is about this place that is 'meh' to me. My husband's plate of enchiladas looked completely unappetizing, but he enjoyed them so that's the important thing. I'd definitely choose other "Mexican" food places over this one any day, though I do have to commend the bar staff for being on the ball about asking if we needed anything.

Good food and atmosphere. Santa Fe stacked enchiladas were fantastic, be sure to get mean green sauce with them. Highly recommend the Alamo margarita. Tasted great and in a large glass. Fajita sandwich was good. A nice change and the meat was tasty. Salsa and chips just eh.... But would definitely eat here again.

I've been to both locations and it's always been OK, not bad at all. But lately the service at the east location has been problematic. We've had multiple problems on our last three visits. On my last visit I ordered a shredded beef chimichanga. I asked that it be fried crispy, unlike it's usual flabby self (for those that aren't aware, chimi's are not supposed to be soft like a burrito, they're supposed to be deep fried and crispy). So anyway, I get my meal and I have a very flabby, shredded chicken chimi. Not to mention that the enchilada sauce on the enchilada that night had a very off flavor, almost fruit-like (strange!). So once our server came around, she took my plate to get me what I ordered (she was very nice). But by the time I got it, everyone else in our party was done eating, so I had to get it wrapped up to go. By the way, the new chimi was still soft when it was brought back to us. The next day I sat down to have my take-out chimi for lunch, and it's ground beef! Sheesh! The kitchen really needs to get their act together for me to patronize this location anymore.

I'm a fan. My office comes here about every other Friday for their Happy Hour. Free salsa bar and discounted drinks. I can't say much about their food...only that 4pm Friday arrives and I'm downing salsa and chips likes there's no tomorrow. Pass the salt hombre!

We had a good experience, our waiter did a great job. Two reasons why I took two stars off: Reason One: We had six people with three bigger guys, they sat us at this little table and we could barely cut into our food without putting our elbows in each others faces. Reason Two: the food was extremely bland. We were hoping for a burst of flavor, but never got that kick. Even the salsa was bland! We went here for a friends birthday, but I wasn't impressed enough to come back. Maybe if they worked on the flavors we would try it again.

Local establishment with enjoyable food. My wife and I often choose to make this our date location. Service has always been outstanding (yes there can be a wait from time to time - if this is a problem avoid happy hour times). We have sampled most of their menu and enjoy everything. We are specific fans of the nachos. beware of the grease but wow - they are tasty and always fresh. We enjoy the sun patio more than the inside - seems to be darker on the inside (since there are less windows). For a local establishment, this blows out the other tex-mex chains.

I've been here a handful of times and I have no major complaints. I don't understand why some enchiladas are layered, I thought they were always rolled. Never had a problem with service, everyone has always been friendly. Prices are average but what has impressed me is a couple of times I've had to ask why my bill was so low and it was because they had specials going on (I had no idea), One time my sons meal was free, another the margarita was free! So since my hubby loves the place and they seem to always be having specials going, we will definitely be back.

Stopped in with the family for a Saturday evening dinner. I've had Tex-Mex food all over the southwest and don't find Jose's stands out at either location. Nothing terrible, but nothing that makes me want to go back time and again. I will say Jose's may be the best choice in the area of Constitution and Powers. The Gluten free menu is way to small for a place that 'specializes' in fresh Tex-Mex. House marg arrived with a hair in it... happily replaced but still kinda weird since none if the visible bar staff had hair that color. Just an okay place, prices did seem a little steep.

Great food and great service. This is the third mexican restaurant I've been to in the springs. Definitely my favorite so far. 15 minute wait for seating but the food was fast. Very fair pricing $25 for two people. Renee was our server she was attentive and friendly.

Went for lunch and had a very pleasant experience.....place was crowded but got in fast.....served fast and out the door in perfect time to return to work. Food was excellent. Not sure what really happened with those who gave bad reviews but I must say I was pleased with my visit and have been back more than once...actually was there for Cinco de Mayo with friends and we had a blast, the food was great, and as crowded as they were...the service was great too!

Great food and ice cold beer. Always a free basket of chips and salsa with a free salsa bar on Fridays. Lots of games on tv with a separate section of dinners. One of my favorite local spots on powers.

With all the Southwestern, Tex-Mex, Mexican Restaurants in town Jose's really threw it's hat into a competitive ring. I used to go to the Downtown location often for happy hour chips, salsa and drinks, but never for a good meal. Unfortunately the East location seems to be the same, with the exception that they are WAAAAYYYY over priced. The food is mediocre AT BEST and was very disappointing overall. I don't know who they have cooking, but one of our party had to send his Fajita's back because everything on the plate was burned underneath. The rest of our party of 10 were just plain disappointed with the quality and quantity of food considering the ridiculously high prices for both the food and drinks. There are far too many good and excellent dining choices in Colorado Springs to waste your time on this place. They may be busy right now because the Powers Corridor is a very underserved area where folks are desperate to try anything new, but once 3 Margaritas opens across the street I think people will see the light about Jose's.

weve been here twice.. Our first time was great.. sat down ordered.. our food was at our table within 10 minutes.. but we were the first ones there.. our waiter was so nice and very friendly! The second time we went was after church.. so about 1230.. we got to sit right away, but there is alot of seating so i dont see the wait being a problem. we both ordered the lunch size fajitas.. which was pefect size. but our waiter was slow.. the manager came by twice and filled up out waters for us.. but it was alright food. nothing to complain about there... its just not to die for,, dont go rushing out or anything

I'm a happy hour junkie and they have a good one. $5 street tacos w/ 4 tacos, taste excellent. My quesadilla with ground beef was great but was a little spicy for my wife, which was awesome cause I didn't have to share! We went on Thursday and there is $1 coronaitas (7oz) all day! There are some great deals to be had here. The service (bartender) was great. He recommended the chicken quesadilla and we wound up getting half chicken, half ground beef. I wasn't a fan of the chicken and he insisted on refunding half of it as he saw we didn't really eat that half. I didn't ask, but was really impressed with that level of service.

I'm not really sure I understand why a few people are so upset. I live in Aspen and expect great food and service. The margs aren't the best you'll ever have, but they are good. The tacos however, are AMAZING!!!! Had carnitas street style and my boyfriend got the fish tacos which he loved!! We had a lovely little lunch. It's not ever going to receive a Michelin ranking, but for what it is and does, it is excellent!!

Jose Muldoons is keeping with the current trend of expansion and following such Denver gastronomic Goliath's such as Snooze, It's Brother's, Lodo's and many more. As a former Colorado Springs resident and patron of the OG Muldoons I was pleased to see their prosperity- but oddly hesitant to try this new NECS location when visiting my folks last weekend. The menu is pretty much the same I remember from the OG Downtown location including Sunday Margarita Brunch- entree AND a house Margarita for under $10 Bucks= Deal. Service was friendly and prompt even during the Stetson Hills area After-Church crowd. Interior and design are updated but reflect the OG Downtown Tejon Street feel.

  • Mrs K.

  • Christine J.

I absolutely love this place. The food is great, the service is always great, and they have the best fried ice cream of any Mexican restaurant in Colorado. I wish they had one up here in Denver, because I would be there quite often! Keep up the good work guys!

I'm a fan. My office comes here about every other Friday for their Happy Hour. Free salsa bar and discounted drinks. I can't say much about their food...only that 4pm Friday arrives and I'm downing salsa and chips likes there's no tomorrow. Pass the salt hombre!

Love this location! The Alamo margarita is the best especially when paired with chips and queso!

Great food and great service. This is the third mexican restaurant I've been to in the springs. Definitely my favorite so far. 15 minute wait for seating but the food was fast. Very fair pricing $25 for two people. Renee was our server she was attentive and friendly.

  • Christine J.

  • Mrs K.

  • Mark F.

  • Joanna M.

  • Tom P.

Love this location! The Alamo margarita is the best especially when paired with chips and queso!

Late Saturday afternoon lunch. Great service and great covered patio area for taking in the Colorado sun. Whole family enjoyed the meal.

Trendy, nice décor. Average food. Not on my short list of awesome places.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
